April 7th, 2008 by · 10 Comments · Earth science, soil

This post is due Monday, April 14. This week we are finishing the study on plants and their parts, we will learn about the nitrogen cycle, and we will be going on a leaf walk to compare leaves and their qualities. You get to choose which of the 2 activities you would like to do.

1. Describe 2 different ways that nature makes the nitrogen useful for us.

2. Take a leaf walk in your yard or neighborhood. Compare the leaves you find in shape and color, and decide how the leaves are alike and different.  Decide if the shapes of the leaves are helpful to the plant they came from and why or why not.
